About Me

Portrait of Rafael Almeida

I am a Senior Video Editor with 7 years of experience producing long-form educational content, online courses, podcasts, interviews and promotional trailers for international digital media and learning organisations.

I manage the complete post-production workflow, from ingesting and organising raw footage to narrative editing, B-roll selection, audio cleanup, captions, motion graphics, review rounds, version control, final delivery and archiving. I am particularly experienced in managing large video packages, simultaneous projects and structured workflows where consistency, attention to detail and reliable delivery are essential.

At Conversation Design Institute, I edited three complete course packages containing 28, 17 and 60 lessons. I currently deliver approximately one 12-minute lesson per day and edit one-hour podcasts within one working day. By improving templates, file organisation and production workflows, I helped reduce complete course-editing timelines from approximately three months to one or two months.

At EBAC, I work with 4K source recordings and deliver approximately one module per day, normally containing four to eight lessons. I have also designed and documented AI-assisted workflows using HeyGen for video translation, lip-sync and avatar-led lessons, supporting colleague training and reducing avoidable rework.

Previously, at Artlist, I reviewed 12–15 video templates per day for Artlist and Motion Array. I became the team’s dedicated DaVinci Resolve specialist, improved template package structures, produced technical documentation and trained colleagues.

My principal tools include Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve and Adobe After Effects. I also use Frame.io, Riverside, HeyGen, Monday, Jira and Trello to support review, localisation, project management and collaborative production.

I work fluently in English and Portuguese and am based in Barcelona, Spain. I am interested in remote, hybrid and on-site opportunities involving educational content, podcasts, interviews, long-form video and structured post-production.
